A Nyugat című folyóirat írói a huszadik század elején megreformálták az egész magyar irodalmat. A grafikus jelben a szöveg és a körívek elhelyezkedése a nyugati irányt jelzik. Kőbe vésve és a talajba illesztve iránytűként szimbolizálja a folyóirat és írói szellemiségét.

Nyugat means west in Hungarian. This is how the most famous hungarian literary periodical was named in the beginning of the twentieth century. It's authors reformed the whole Hungarian literature. The organization of the text and the circles show the western direction. Fitting to the ground it can work as a compass symbolizing the spirit of the periodical.
